What you can hand off with Basecamp

What to-dos are overdue on the summer website launch?

Joshu checks the project to-do lists, flags overdue assignments with their owners, and drops a summary on your desk.

Post our weekly progress recap to the client Campfire.

Joshu drafts the update from recent project check-ins and holds the message for your approval before posting.

Turn the action items from this email into Basecamp cards.

Joshu reads the client email thread, creates new tasks in the onboarding project, and assigns deadlines you approve.

Projects and to-dos in Basecamp become part of Joshu's daily working memory.

What Joshu does

Joshu keeps an active view of your Basecamp projects. It reads message boards, organizes to-do lists, flags overdue items, and drafts check-in recaps. When clients send updates by email, Joshu can create new cards in the relevant Basecamp project with context attached and hold them for review.

What you do

Authorize Basecamp through OAuth and select which projects Joshu should follow. Choose whether updates and new tasks should wait for approval in drafts or post directly to trusted projects.

Why it sticks

Basecamp keeps project communication clean in one place. Joshu reads and updates it directly, sparing you from copying tasks back and forth between your inbox and project boards.

Permissions and limits

Joshu accesses Basecamp using scoped OAuth tokens you grant. It cannot view projects outside the connected account. Edits, task completions, and message deletions adhere to the permissions of the connected user.

Frequently asked questions

Joshu connects to Basecamp through official OAuth and joins the projects you select. It tracks to-do lists, reads message boards, drafts Campfire updates, and links project milestones back to your email and calendar. You work with an assistant who has a desk, a computer, and persistent memory, not a bot that only lives in one chat window.

Yes. Every Joshu runs in its own isolated, sandboxed cloud computer. Project files and message boards Joshu reads stay in that private sandbox. Joshu only accesses projects you authorize, and your data is never used to train public AI models.

Joshu drafts by default. To-dos, message board announcements, and Campfire posts wait for your review unless you configure explicit automated posting rules for specific projects.

Only the Basecamp accounts and projects you authorize during OAuth setup. Joshu has zero visibility into personal projects or separate company accounts you leave unconnected.

Basecamp search scans text inside one account. Joshu has eight-level memory across Basecamp, email, files, calendar, and past conversations. It connects project tasks to client emails, cites past decisions, and tracks commitments across weeks.

Joshu is $95 a month with a simple flat rate. That includes your sandboxed cloud computer, a dedicated US phone number, an @joshu.me email address, eight-level cortex memory, and all tool connectors, including Basecamp. There are no surprise usage tiers or seat markups.
