Connect Joshu to email

Every Joshu ships with a dedicated @joshu.me address. You can also connect Gmail or Outlook when you want Joshu reading the inbox you already use.

What Joshu does

Joshu triages, drafts, and follows up from its own mailbox. When you connect yours, it sees threads, proposes replies, and keeps context without you forwarding every message. CC Joshu on a thread the way you would a human assistant; it replies from its address or yours depending on how you configured send permissions.

What you do

Decide how much it sees: work only on Joshu's address, connect Gmail/Outlook for shared inbox access, or both. Set approval rules for outbound sends if you want a human nod on sensitive mail.

Why it sticks

Email is how work actually moves. Joshu sends and receives it, so you are not copy-pasting between a chatbot and your mail client.

Permissions and limits

Joshu cannot read mail in accounts you do not connect. Its native address is always available even when no external inbox is linked. SPF and deliverability for Joshu's address are managed by Joshu hosting.
